Brown Orchid is rare just like you.

Brown Orchid is a Media Company for Gen Z (1997-2012)  / Zillennial (1995-2000) Black women.  Brown Orchid is based a United States based publication- company. 

I decided to make Brown Orchid, because I noticed there were lack of main stream fashion, beauty, pop culture, and lifestyle centered around black women.  Although I feel that social media platforms are a great way to connect to people and find amazing creators who inspire you.  Something is missing… 

There is so much out there on the internet and social media platforms. It is so easy to get lost and overconsume. Most days they get away from me because I am glued to my phone! I hope I am not feeding into too much on nostalgia, but I want the days when we can sit down with our meals and read something physically. Scroll through pages, and find something new while reading. I want our readers to circle new products, play a mini crossword, or discover a new hairstyle. 

I am a child of the 2000s. I grew up with African American publications in my household such as Essence, Ebony, JET, Sister 2 Sister, Black Hair, and Vibe. I am a big fan of those magazines. Most of these publications are still around via digital download or physical copies.I also loved teen magazines like American Girl, Discovery Girl, J-14 growing up. I want to carve out spaces that are just for us to unwind and catch up. Let’s have some girl talk. I want you to read this and discover something new about yourself. Be entune with yourself for a few minutes in a day.
